We are pleased to announce the latest software update to Soutron is now available, version 4.1.11.
This latest update delivers a variety of performance enhancements and features designed to improve user experiences, increase system flexibility, and streamline information management at special libraries and archives.
Utilising the latest available technologies, the release of Soutron 4.1.11 streamlines many administration workflow processes including:
- Copy management functionality, featuring easier viewing, editing and bulk copy management, including the time-saving ability to edit records directly from the copy list
- Hierarchical Tree Catalogue view, providing a more intuitive way to view, navigate and update collections
- System configuration administration view, designed to simplify system maintenance
These modernisation improvements are in addition to general security updates, including Soutron achieving certification for the Data Privacy Framework.
Soutron clients can review the extensive list of additional updates and enhancements in the Soutron Customer Service Portal, where they can ask questions about the release, in addition to suggesting new features and voting on new functionalities that other customers have suggested.

Copy management (New Admin)
Re-design of copy management module – moved to the New Admin interface. Including:
- Quick / In-line edit
- Custom copy fields
- Streamlined bulk copies workflow
- Easier management of volume & issue copies.
- Ability to expose custom copy fields to end users via portal (search and view)

New and Easier to use Copy Management for Library Materials!
Tree Catalogue View (New Admin)
New Tree Catalogue View now available in the New Admin Interface. Ideal for visually reviewing where the record is in a collection.
Plus, the ability to remove a record from the tree!
System Configuration Maintenance (New Admin)
The system configuration maintenance screen has now been redesigned and part of the new admin interface.
Other updates include:
- Now possible to set a different Reply TO address for emails sent via the system.
- Option to open Admin record edit from portal records instead of library edit page
- Increased ToolTip Max Character Size
- RSS feed updates, linked records now open in portal instead of library application
- Added support for multiple Marc file import data sources
- General security improvements and much more
