Clio Inter Library Loans

Soutron’s Inter Library Loans (ILL) software module by Clio is a fantastic new solution for inter library loans that is already being used to replace long standing ILL systems.

You will be delighted when you see how well designed and flexible it is and realise what you have been missing for so many years. Some of the exciting new features include the dynamically matching of a citation by the British Library catalogue to a partial citation provided.

It finds the correct citation and this can be used to search other suppliers too. Simultaneously it will also search a selection of holding libraries of your choice. If you find the item that you were looking for in a different library, you can send a request directly to them via email. It is that simple.

If you are using the British Library, their API returns results and item status’ in real-time. No more waiting around. No more exchanging emails taking days to be certain of availability before placing an order.

It is the only ILL software system available that is specifically designed to work with the new British Library Document Supply System (BLDSS).

Your users are able to submit their own requests on-line, check the status of their request and request renewals, or retrieve e-documents either on-site or remotely. Soutron keeps users updated on the progress of their ILL request using automated notification emails.
