The MINISIS Cultural Asset Management System (CAMS) ensures that collections, objects, and items can be acquired, registered, and accessioned using a single library, archive and museum collection system. With CAMS, these separate and distinct applications have been merged without compromising the documentation standards privy to each descriptive focus.
Thus, multi-part and multi-descriptive-focused items/objects can maintain their common accession information while being catalogued/described according to the item’s descriptive focus, whether it be for a MARC-based public library, a school library, a special library, an archive or museum.
The MINISIS Trusted Digital Repository (TDR) is both a software and preservation service. It preserves digital assets and also makes them available dynamically, allowing online searches as well as access to digital versions in a format desired by end-users.
Soutron has been the longest serving supplier of library and information management software in the UK market since 1989, with an expanding presence in North America, the European Union, and Asian markets. In 2022, with support from Atlasview Equity Partners & Bloom Equity Partners, two private equity firms supplying capital and operational expertise, Soutron Global merged its US and UK operations to expand global operations. In 2024, Soutron acquired MINISIS, a Canadian library, archive, preservation and museum software solutions company, to broaden and extend our solutions into underserved markets.
