We are pleased to announce the latest software update to Soutron is now available, version 4.1.10.
This update includes many enhancements, new features as well as security updates and general improvements.
The latest updates and enhancements are the result of working closely with, and listening to, clients’ needs. As a result, we continue to provide a world class combined library, archive, knowledge, and information management solution.
Introducing the latest updates and features
NEW Loan Period Maintenance
The loan period maintenance module has been migrated to the new admin application. Taking advantage of the table filters and quick edit tools used across many areas of the new admin areas.
NEW Loan Restriction by Office Feature
Issuing of loans can now be restricted by office, this is enabled in System Configuration Maintenance and controlled by access permissions.
Grid Maintenance (Copies Table)
The Grid Maintenance (copies table) can now be configured per user mode (admin, logged in user, guest).
W3C Improvements
General W3C improvements in the Search Portal to aid and enhance the user experience.
File Uploads
Improved file upload timeout for large files uploaded via the via Admin record editor.
SSO Enhancement
SSO enabled clients can now access collections & saved searches via single click (instead of double clicking).
Other updates include:
- SEO site verification codes (Google/Microsoft) can now be saved to system configuration maintenance.
- Extended character limit of office short code. This allows a longer code to be shown in the portal search results if office is added as one of the columns.
- Headings plugin has been included in rich text & template editors.
- Full screen menu option has been added to rich text & template editors.
- Arabic translations updated in the Search Portal
- General security improvements and much more
