Data Migration and Conversion

Following a short consultancy phase, Soutron will create a migration strategy detailing how your data and metadata would be best structured and how your database should be designed in order to support search and discovery of that information.  

We ask for a complete set of data that is to be converted. A comprehensive, custom data import plan with all the services you need to get you up and running as quickly as possible is created for you. Armed with this data we make an initial first conversion so that you can see what the data might look like when loaded and accessed from within your Soutron or MINISIS database. 

We will present you with a data conversion specification document that outlines how your data is converted and the final form of your database in a clear, easy to understand manner. Services provided include: 

• Data collection, audit & analysis, cleansing, conversion, mapping, migration 

• New database schema design created to support your new Search Portal or OPAC 

• Digital capture and conversion analysis
